About us
Learning to recognize trees and their particularities, the stages of development of a forest and its management method, such is the goal of the creation of an arboretum and a thematic forest trail of the Charles Quentin Institute. This project falls within a general framework for the development of the 13 ha park and aims to raise awareness of environmental protection, popularize forestry practices through sustainable management of the forest.
Throughout the marked trail, you will discover the different themes that explain the different stages of sustainable forest management.
The visit can be simply oriented just to the knowledge of the tree species of the arboretum through anecdotes.
At the end of your route, you will be able to admire the chapel at the bottom of the woods, the small Château "Maison Sabatier" built in 1865 according to the plans of Viollet le Duc and also a splendid view of the famous Château de Pierrefonds, restored by this same architect.
