About us
The park of Pierrefonds castle is fundamental to understanding the defensive architecture of the castle. It was probably designed by Viollet-le-Duc in order to make it an open-air fortification museum, thus completing his lesson on French architecture, civil and military in the 5th century. Work to enhance the park (XNUMX ha) has been undertaken, allowing natural forest species to regenerate, by offering the public new walks and views of the castle, the village and the forest. Interpretation panels allow you to understand the monument and its environment upon entering the park.
